Client Confidentiality

What we speak about is confidential.  I will not discuss it with anybody apart from my supervisor.  My supervisor and I are both bound by a Code of Ethics regarding your confidentiality.  To see the Code of Ethics to which I adhere, click here.  However, if I believe there is a risk of harm to you or others, I could have a legal and ethical responsibility to share information with third parties.  An example would be if somebody's welfare - especially that of a child - is endangered, or if I were issued with a subpoena by a court. If such an occasion were to arise I would always endeavour to discuss it with you before taking any action.
